The following are general information about visiting the Niagara Falls. As the Niagara Falls is located at the international border between US and Canada, it should be noted that there are three crossings to enter Canada from the US: - From Rainbow Bridge - From Peace Bridge - From I-90 to QEW

Currency Exchange
Large hotels will generally accept US currency. However, it is still possible to exchange currency at the banks, which are normally open from 10am until 4pm. Although some remain open in the evenings, as well as on Saturdays. It is recommended for people to choose establishments with well-known credibility for currency exchange.

Entering Canada
Identification is mandatory while crossing the border. The largest group of visitors comes from the US, and in this case a passport will suffice. For other international citizens, a visa might be required beforehand.

Firearms
Canada’s regulations restrict firearms for the purpose of self-defense. Sporting rifles are permitted, but its uses must meet the usage criteria of the country. Visitors with the intention of bringing such rifles or shotguns should contact a Canada Customs office to obtain more information about the laws.

Liquor
Anyone who is 19 years of age or above is permitted to buy alcohol in Ontario. It is against the law to consume alcohol in a non-residential area, as well as places like restaurants and other public areas that are not licensed for such.
